Our commitment
Gen X Jamaican Patty Bakery and Catering wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, zoom or other assistive technology. We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
What we are doing
- Adding text alternatives to images that lacked them, and hiding purely decorative images from screen readers.
- Checking that each page has one main heading.
- The cookie banner can be used with a keyboard, and its buttons are of equal prominence.
- The site is being checked with automated accessibility tools, and issues found are being fixed.
Known limits
Some older pages and images may not yet fully meet the guidelines. Links to other websites, such as social media and maps, open pages we do not control, and their accessibility may differ.
